This is something that bothers me, because usually the default configuration of Outlook 2013 / Exchange does not resolve names the way I’d like.
1. Select Address Book from the standard toolbar (under Home on the ribbon).
Now you have a menu on the Address Book window.
2. Select Tools / Options.
3. Select Custom.
4. Select “All users” under “All address Lists” in the Address lists, press Add.
Optionally, you can add different address lists to this custom order, and set the order with the arrows.
When typing into the “To” field in a new email message, or adding attendees to a meeting request, you can type
last name or first name, and then pressing Ctrl-K (same as “Check Names” on the ribbon).
Outlook will try to resolve the name for you.
typing “gerlei” will resolve to “Marton Gerlei”
